Norm Maciver
Norm Maciver, currently an assistant coach with the Boston Bruins, brings vast experience as a player and coach to Red Line Hockey. As a college player, Norm assisted on 152 goals in his 155-game collegiate career at the University of Minnesota- Duluth (NCAA Div. I) and was named an All-American twice. He also was a finalist for the 1985-86 Hobey Baker Award. Norm had a successful 13-year professional playing career. He played 500 NHL games, scoring 55 goals and 230 assists for 285 points, with the Rangers, Hartford, Edmonton, Ottawa, Pittsburgh, and Winnipeg/Phoenix. His best NHL season statistically was a 63-point campaign with 17 goals and 46 assists for the Ottawa Senators in 1992-93. Before joining the Bruins' organization, Norm spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the Springfield Falcons in the American Hockey League.

Shjon Podein
Shjon Podein, knows what it takes to play at the highest levels of hockey. Shjon played in more than 500 NHL games during his professional career. The Edmonton Oilers drafted Shjon in 1988. He went on to play with the Philadelphia Flyers and the Colorado Avalanche. He played on Division and Conference Championship teams and won the Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche in 2001. Shjon was also awarded the King Clancy Trophy for his leadership role and off-ice humanitarian contributions.

Skeeter Moore
Scott "Skeeter" Moore is the Director of Development for Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. A 1987 graduate of UMD, Skeeter was a standout hockey player there, scoring a collegiate career total of 165 points and being named to the WCHA All-Academic Team. After graduation, he played professional hockey in Sweden. Skeeter also played for the Amarillo Rattlers and for the San Angelo Outlaws, where he later served as Director of Hockey Operations.

Chris Marinucci
Chris Marinucci, a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, won the Hobey Baker Memorial Award as the top U.S. collegiate player in 1994. During that season, he scored 30 goals and had 31 assists for 61 points for the Bulldogs. He also helped the Bulldogs take the WCHA regular season title in 1992-93. During his four seasons at UMD, Chris played in a team-record 149 consecutive games. He was selected by the New York Islanders in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft and spent his first pro season with the Islanders and the team’s IHL affiliate, the Denver Grizzlies. In 1995 he was a member of the Grizzlies’ Turner Cup championship team. In 1996, Chris was traded to Los Angeles, and in 1999, he was named to the IHL Second All-Star Team.

Bert Gilling
Bert Gilling, an assistant hockey coach at Bemidji State University, played his college hockey at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He was nominated for the 1997-98 WCHA Defensive Player of the Year award and was a member of the 1998 WCHA All-Star team. Bert played junior hockey with the Estevan Bruins of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey league from 1992-95. There he won two team MVP (1994, 1995) awards, was selected as the Most Valuable Rookie during the 1992-93 campaign, and won the inaugural Bill Shinske Ethics Award in 1995. He was a three-time Academic All-WCHA honoree, a member of the Dean’s List, and recipient of the Top Scholastic Player award from his junior club in 1993.

Jonte Hedstrom
Jonte (Jonathan) Hedstrom, a native of Sweden, was the 9th round, 221st overall selection of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. He played the early part of his career with numerous club teams in Sweden before making his North American debut in 2002-03 for the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. In his first season there, he played for a short period and then suited up with the team’s AHL affiliate in Cincinnati, where he scored 35 points (14-21-35) in 50 games.
